Author Topic: Aliens! Abductions! What can save us?  (Read 900 times)

So I just watched the movie The Fourth Kind because I was looking through Netflix, and I thought it looked interesting.
I just finished it, and whether or not the footage/story is true, I still found it uncomfortably creepy.
Especially that trucker call in the credits, and the other call that involved the 3 year old boy.

So, my question is, what is your opinion on aliens? I do for one, think the exist, somewhere in the supermassive expanse of nothing we call the universe. However, I seriously doubt they watch us over like it's Saturday Night Live or something.

The likelyhood of extraterrestrial life existing is massive, however, the odds of them visiting are much, much smaller.

I believe aliens exist, whether or not they visit Earth, though, is a different story. I would imagine any race capable of flying light years to earth in decent time would have better cloaking and/or mind wiping technology. Those people who claim to have remembered being examined/impregnated/whatever are full of stuff.

There is no way in hell we are the only life in the universe.

well of course there are

i once had an intergalactic fight on the planet Gordone-7 with the hostile species, the grox

they wouldn't make a trade route with my empire

I don't believe either way, I haven't seen any real evidence to support or deny their existence on earth.

on earth =/= existence

All of that "Real" footage in the movie was acted.

The math* says it is impossible for us to be the only life in the universe. How many galaxies are there? Millions? How many stars are in those galaxies? A billion+ per galaxy? If you run the math, it is utter mindrape trying to comprehend us being the only living things in the vast expanse of space. Aliens finding us, though, now that's a different story...

The "math" is actually theoretical and not really intended to be used in a real situation, but it fits the bill for this example.

Billions

Some aliens are advanced entities of energy that float around in space without a body that can communicate through thought.

Yep, I do. They prolly couldnt speak any of our languages though, Our mouth shape is our own.

I think if they were to ever meet us or vise versa, wars and peace groups and a whole bunch of unneeded stuff will happen
