Looking at that picture brought back a lot of memories. I'm glad I also remembered I still have RTB on back up. It also works fine for Windows 7, which is great. c:

Show of hands, how many of you wouldn't be here if you never saw this video?

I like how this community says that alpha was stuff yet these threads always pop up and people rush in with huge bursts of nostalgic joy.

I remember my little city I built right when I started playing Blockland. I worked on this city for a week before finally playing online.
For my first build ever I'm surprised it didn't have any real bad spam.
The first server I ever went on was a CityRP on the default slate. It may have been Iban's.
It had default roads on top of 8x cubes and 32x cubes as walls for the city. That's all I remember.

It wasn't stuffy. But what we have now is a lot cleaner, easier to use, and has more features (Aside from movers.. I really miss movers)

Are RTB servers still existant? I would really want to play RTB with other people.

when I reinstalled there was 1 empty passworded server and 5 people on IRC who wouldn't respond.

Ethan made an avatar for me way back before my namechange, was lost during computer transition.

All my pics from v8 were deleted when my hard drive burned out :/

The oldest thing I had was probably HiHi's flooded fort wars, or some GSF map running the flood mod right when it came out, and everyone was in uber-RP-mode.

aw poo, we had to re-install our current version of mac osx

my 5 years of retail, all gone.

WHY GOD WHYEEEEEEEE

I remember being introduced to BL in... 2009, I believe?

I was a dedicated Roblox player, and my friend Alex called me over to his house. "Dude, you have to see this!" I hopped on my bike and rode up to his house.

He was at his laptop, playing the demo of "Blockland".

I watched for five minutes and said, "Oh my god, that is so much better than Roblox..."

Month later, I was a Blockhead. :D
This is pretty much what happened with me, only I walked to my friends house.

Wiped my pc and lost all of them, thought i had a backup of them but obviously not :C

Found the first screenshot I ever took of retail.
