Author Topic: How to put your console on Trace mode!  (Read 3214 times)

Trace mode helps players decipher a problem if it is more advanced, like a Fatal-ISV error. PLEASE NOTE: When your console is on trace mode, lots of spam will occur. That is normal.

HOW TO TURN TRACE MODE ON:
1.) If it is crashing with Blockland, right click your blockland launcher. If it is crashing with a dedicated server, right click the dedicated server launcher.
2.) Click properties.
3.) Add this to the end of the location path: -trace
4.) Boot up Blockland and make it crash.
5.) The console would be too big to post as an attachment so post it on a file sharing website. I prefer Mediafire.

TO TURN TRACE OFF: Repeat steps 1 and 2 and remove the -trace extension.

Note: To turn on trace in game type in console: trace(1);
To turn it off: trace(0);

Or you could just type trace(1); in the console and when you're done type in trace(0);.
If the game doesn't crash on startup at least.

Covered that! :)

Is that a bread?

What do you people do to your copies of Blockland?

I mean seriously, I've never even heard of a Fatal-ISV error in Blockland until this month and now it seems like everyone has it. I have never ever had Blockland at the point where it actually won't start in my life. Even when I forgeted up making my own code I fixed it and restarted, how do you people manage to break it so badly?

This.

Also, I reinstalled my Blockland to start at a fresh slate. Downloaded only from RTB, plus RTB itself.
Now VC++ bitches at me on startup.
Must be my computer.

I don't understand, but my blockland dedi server keeps crashing!

You do not know how many topics I'm attaching this to. Mindboggling! :/

Someone suggested a video. What do you guys think?

there is no reason at all to have a tutorial for this

if someone can't hit ~ and type "trace(1);" they shouldn't be using a computer
