Hey, i know i seem like a complete newb for this, (my BLID is 18947)...

How do you make a decal work? i want to make my signature decal that says Sun on it, since i am Sun_Monocle.

Thanks,
Verge (hehe, confusing huh?)

heh, i meant post. Post. :P

Stick it inside a .zip named Decal_?????
(Go replace ????? with anything you please."
Stick a decal in there.
Stick a thumbnail, not sure what size, use other decal folders for reference, you may have to resize the image.
Start up blockland and try to use the decal.

Make a .zip folder named Decal_something, replacing something with the decal name of course.
Create a square image, I find 256x to be the best, but bigger still works, and place that inside the .zip folder. This will be the actual decal.
Create a copy of the image and resize it to be 64x, then create a folder named thumbs (no capitals), and place the smaller image into the thumbs folder then place the thumbs folder into the .zip folder.
You can add a description inside if you want people to know who made it, but you don't have to.

If you want other people to be able to download your decal, upload it to a file sharing site like MediaFire, and just place the download link in a post in the Faces, Decals, Prints section of the forums.

TOPTIP: Don't make decals before you learn this:

1. Make it blockish.

2. Learn how to make it symmetric (It looks better, trust me) (BUT ONLY IN SOME PLACES.)

EDIT: (cant modify)

Listen, the best tool for it is Paint.NET.

See ya and hope you can do it now!  :cookieMonster:

I would actually recommend learning GIMP. It's a poor man's photoshop.

Offtopic, but your avatar looks like a strap-on, microsnake carrot.

This. Any image editing tool that isn't completely and entirely stuff allows some way to flip an image so that you can make one half of something, press a button, and there's an exact copy on the opposing side of it.
