What to do when you're new?

So I've become a member of the Blockland community.  Yay!

Err, now what?


Well, now that I'm finally here, I'm not really sure what to do next!  Being rather inexperienced, I can't play most servers without getting my butt handed to me due to unfamiliarity with the game and the controls.  Building seems fun, but I'll need a lot of practice to get good at it.  Basically, what I'm asking here is this:  Now that I've bought the game, is there anything I should be sure to try?  I've went through the tutorial, but I'm still fairly confused about how the game works.  Is there a new user guide around that can point me in a good direction? 

Or better yet, a tourist's guide to Blockland:  10 things you've got to try doing when you're here!

There isn't a comprehensive guide as far as I'm aware. Would you mind specifying, more detailed, what it is you're confused about?

Just join diffrent servers, go to a TDM and get better with the controls about moving around, go to a freebuild and get better with building controls.

Also don't forget to screw around and have fun!

Pay attention to other people's posts and avoid being hypocritical.

Do not spam emotes.

Have good grammar and spelling.

Ask questions in the way you have posted here.  You did a good job.

You can look through a few video tutorials found in places on the forums or view the gallery or help topics for tips.

Do not get involved in the Version 21 updates since you just joined.

Otherwise, have a nice stay and enjoy Blockland!

-You could join servers and battle against people in combat

-Or you could join servers to build, as the game implies.

Just start looking around. You'll find it interesting.

What I loved to do when I had the demo was downloading diffrent vehicles and weapons, then going to the slopes and try them out.

You can make a great building starting with a baseplate, and then use bricks to make a design, the more you build, the better you'll get.

Figure out different building styles and attempt to adhere to them while still making the builds look interesting.

You should try to hang out with Isjix, he's a cool brother who can help you out! Unfortunately, nobody has even made a detailed guide for the game after 5 god damned years.

10 Things You've Gotta Try Doing When You're Here!
1. Get high
When you're high, everything is at least twice as good, and you can make fun out of stupid things like hitting people in the head with a hammer for hours on end.
2. Make a map and Roleplay in it
Unfortunately, maps and interiors are going to get canned when the next update comes, so hurry and make a map so that you can feel that sensation of playing god.. Before it's too late.
3. Build an obstacle course
and host it and shoot people with a rifle randomly
4. Socialize
Within 3 days of this key's purchase I amassed around 10 friends who I actively talk with.
5. Write a story
about real occurrences that happened to you on a fun server
6. Plan a building
and build it
7. Play on a TDM server
8. Host your own unique server
9. Make a video
10. Make an abusive event that makes people mad
