There's a good reason the forums become quiet on February the Tenth. I'm not supposed to talk about it so publicly, but I feel you need to know.
There's talk of an old, old group of players, just a little after Retail; someplace in the 1000's of the ID list. The IDs technically don't exist anymore. They didn't show themselves often, so I've heard, after the flock of players during the initial Retail campaign; I assume these people were a shy bunch.
I had a cousin who played Blockland before I did. Sadly, I can't remember his username, but his name was Nicholas. He told me about the game a bit before I joined, and a few trinkets from his experiences. I had a feeling there was more than he was letting on, though.
After a while, I saved up money and bought the game myself. My cousin grew quiet as I played the game, and eventually just didn't seem to be there anymore. I haven't seen him since this Friday of February, on my first year here.
Since that day, sometimes I see strange things. There's occasionally one blockhead among a crowd that just doesn't have a name, just blank white with no face, staring at me. Sometimes, I'm building in Singleplayer when I hear alarms come from somewhere off in the distance. I know a handful of people who knew one of these old, missing(?) players, and have these experiences too.
I know it's superfluous, but is it possible that there's something more to this than previously thought?
We've always discussed this in hushed whispers, but someone must've told the story to someone else. Now it circulates around the forums as a lesser-known legend of sorts.
