Your ship won't hold out forever in space with the tau fleet. If you lose it, you lose all your wargear and followers aboard it.

Tell the ship in space to leave for its own good.

Tell the ship to meet up with the nearest imperial battlefleet. Give the captain your jurisdiction and powers of office and have him bring them back here to clear out the tau fleet.

With warp travel, your ship could return anywhere from 100 years later to 5 minutes before it leaves.

what type of twisted warp travel do these ships use?

don't have it warp away; however, have it maneuver to a position where it can stay relatively undetected as well as an avenue for quick escape in case they decide to pursue the ship.



we should save that risk of warp travel for later.
