Cannot join server -- Authenticating to master server?

I simply cannot join a server because I have not connected to the master server.

After entering my key, the authentication goes on forever. Please help!

Bullstuff.

When I re-install BL it always fixes it. But whenever I exit out of BL, and try to play again. It goes back to the same stuff.
I don't want to have to install BL every time I want to play it.

No. I have never given out my key to anyone. EVER.

Using it on multiple computers is not a problem. Using it on multiple computers that are 3000 miles apart is an issue.
