This one is suing pretty essential components of the device.

Apple is getting way too whiny and Im actually considering not buying any of their products just because of this. Im hoping they lose because the Galaxy Nexus is one of the top phones in the smartphone market.

See: Apple vs. HTC also

EDIT: I figured this problem would arise eventually, BUT, The "vs. Google" is referring to both the HTC case and the current Samsung case. Its an obvious attack on Google. Yes I know this current case is against Samsung.

Apple got popular because it waited out the introduction of technology and then perfected it. Now, when Android tries the same thing, they sue them. Hypocrisy at it's highest rung.

Steve goes away and then they get to picky with things,I miss Steve,he never sued so many people, its like if their looking for people too sue because they dont get enough profits from what their selling.

Apple is a bitchy little kid who needs to get everything they want. I don't buy any of their products.

Apple sued HTC while Steve Jobs was incumbent

Thank god Nokia sued their asses.

it's kinda ironic how my sister got a free droid when be got her mac

Welp, haven't bought an Apple product and now I don't plan to.

  • “unlocking a device by performing gestures on an unlock image” – I think this one speaks for itself.
BUT APPLE.
EVERY TOUCH SCREEN PHONE IMPLEMENTS THIS.
THIS IS SILLY AND RIDICULOUS.

Yes but he didn't ever try and sue for this:

There were tons of phones back then when steve was in charge that had this an he didn't try and sue them for this.

Patent #7,657,849: Unlocking A Device By Performing Gestures On An Unlock Image

This one's cute 'cause it's brand new -- seriously, it was just granted on February 2. It's almost exactly what it says on the tin: it covers unlocking a touchscreen device by moving an unlock image. It's broad enough for us to say that it covers virtually every unlock behavior we've seen on phones, not just the iPhone's slide-to-unlock implementation.

They may be whiny but there's no denying iOS is good.

like seriously the unlock feature is pretty necessary to avoid the phone accidentally turning on in someone's pocket and draining away precious battery power that smartphones suck away like vampires

how else are we gonna unlock our phones, spitting on them?

"Patent #7,657,849"
holy mother of forget, do they try to patent everything they possibly can?
