Author Topic: 924 Gilman- my first punk concert.  (Read 1349 times)

I just came back from a wacky adventure, folks!
me and my friends all went to the infamous 924 Gilman in Berkeley, which is where bands, most notably Green Day, got started.
if you've never been there(and i doubt many of you have), and you're ever cruising around the berkeley area on a friday night with 14 bucks burnin' a hole in your pocket, i'd suggest you check it out.
since it was my first punk concert ever, i didn't know what to expect. the crowd was what you'd expect- shirtless men, crazy goth people, some cool guys, guys with mohawks that grazed the ceiling, etc. etc. then me, 5'4 skinny irish guy wearing a hoody. not that it wasn't awesome or anything.

PICSHORES

and this is the couch:

apparently these pictures are broken so just look here

a tiny bit, but there was shirtless fat guys with suspenders and richards wearing spiked leather jackets. I mostly hung back and just let loose.
