Author Topic: I'm friends with a very emotionally unstable girl.  (Read 1708 times)

So there's a girl I'm friends with (durr) and she's a total slut (hurr)

To protect her identity, I will call her Q instead of her real name. Q is 15 years old.

Two months ago, she posted on her facebook about her four "ex-boyfriends" and how they all did her wrong, cheating on her, not respecting her, and related bullstuff.
Next week, she was posting about how much she loved her new boyfriend with hearts every-loving-where.

This lasted one month.

For three weeks she has been crying about how depressed she is about her ex-boyfriend.

She just posted about her adorable new boyfriend today.

What the forget, how can you possibly have the capacity to truly romantically love SIX PEOPLE and you're just FIFTEEN.

Discuss friends you have that are TOTAL loving SLUTS.

I don't really think she's a slut unless she's either slept with all of them or something similar.

She's just an idiot

She's just an idiot

I honestly don't know that she hasn't :P

Well, apparently she doesn't have the
capacity to truly romantically love

So really there isn't much to it.

There there vege, come here and I will calm you down with my persona.

what

Welcome to high school, this is what 90% of teenage girls do. To be honest they don't actually have much feeling for the boys that break up with her/she breaks up with, it's more of a "Why can't I get a boyfriend" feeling, and along with that, they are simply doing this to bend YOUR emotion around them. If they can come up to you every month, whine and cry and sob about their boyfriend, and then you say "Oh I'm so sorry, I feel so bad for you, I hope you feel better, cheer up!" then they have you by the loving balls.

My way of avoiding this is by

... Not caring.

BUT, if it's a legitimate story, they've been dating for 6 months and they had a truly romantic relationship then actually feel sorry for the girl. Comfort her and everything. But if she's dumping a guy every 4 weeks, don't care, or else she'll bend your emotions to her favor.

Every girl in a nutshell...

This is very false. There are girls who are like what OP has described but there also are many who are actually sensible, proper, well-caring...

forget, who am I kidding, 99% of the girls in high school are exactly what the OP described. I suppose I'm quite lucky that the girl I got is a one-in-a-million type who's basically the best of everything.

I've been really tempted to comfort her, how do I just not care?

what

Exactly, so let's talk.

First, she is a slut, but what are you going to do about it?

You can't change people like you can mold dough or clay. So really what are you going to do about it?

I recommend that if she is friendly, you stay friends with her but stay out of a romantic relationship with her. Ok?

I've been really tempted to comfort her, how do I just not care?

Does she come whining to you specifically? Or does she whine to a general group of people/everyone at school?

Also, you may really want to change the title of the thread.

The girl you speak of is not exactly a slut. They become a slut, when they have intercourse with every single guy they've dated, THEN break up with them.

... Or they just get it on with whoever they feel like at the time.

The girl you speak of is more of an immature brat.

Does she come whining to you specifically? Or does she whine to a general group of people/everyone at school?

It varies.

A slut is someone who performs loveual acts for money. I am pretty sure if she loved them she didn't forget them for money unless she paid the guy.

It varies.

It's as simple as this, when she comes to you and starts her little self-pity party on you, just pull a "Oh well, stuff happens. Time to get over it, right?" on her.

She may be pissed at you but it's the only way to get her face off of your richard.
