Lol'd at people posting non-prog.

The best prog rock bands: Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, Jethro Tull, Elton John (kinda), Genesis, and ELO.

I'm a big prog rock fan so if you want specific songs and albums I can post em.

Most songs from Rush and anything that's similar to Classic Rock or Progressive Rock.
try some explosions in the sky.
it's post rock, but still really loving good.

Here OP, I made a classic rock megathread a while back. It's got a lot of prog rock because of how much I like it.

Generally everything in it is the best classic rock ever made.

I know of a good Metal band called "In This Moment."

Most of their songs have screamo in them. Except for their album "The Dream" which I believe only has 2-3 songs that involve screamo.

Here's a pretty good song by them, Forever (non-screamo)

And here's one of my favorites, Iron Army (screamo)

Ayreon if you like progressive/neo-classical(?) metal.
Shop around, I didn't get the chance to listen to most of their songs, so I can't tell you which is best.

Also, Ozzy Osbourne.

'Nuff said.

Warlock is a pretty good metal band. It's classic metal, so you'd probably like it.

And another good classic rock/metal band that you should check out is Manowar.
