The rules don't state if you have to have the money right then and there, they also don't state how you have to pay them off.

I'm still agreeing with what I said. You shouldn't be able to make money to pay off your dems. if you don't have the money then go to Jail.

So basically with your logic, I can go on a killing spree, then pay off my dems by mining, and once that's done, repeat. If everyone were to do that, then the police would be making very little money and that would defeat the point of having a policeman.
Unless you have the money, you should be jailed.

If you go on a killing spree, sure, get instantly jailed, however, if you go on a spree of small crimes, I say let them work off the demerits.

If you go on a killing spree, sure, get instantly jailed, however, if you go on a spree of small crimes, I say let them work off the demerits.

And if the police are good enough, they can stop you before you kill more than two. If they're that horrible that they can't stop you until you get 50k in demerits, they don't deserve to be paid.
And if they don't arrest anyone, they still get a base salary.

Barely anyone carries around money, and when they do, they usually travel on the rooftops.
This is less about the horrible rules, and more about how the admin broke said horrible rule.

If they say they are paying off dems, yes. But in most cases of Servers like these it means you have the money and you are going to the bank.

Also this is no where NEAR a small crime, you were Jailed for six ticks!
