Author Topic: Spiral Knights: Meanwhile - WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I SCRAP SOMETHING  (Read 4251 times)

You try to take Borin's back, but you see ANOTHER ogre coming from each door. You are sure there was a spell somewhere on the floor that hid the Crystals when used. You're not sure where though.

You fire upon the nearest ogre. He only collapses after about 15 rounds. And all that considering your powerful staff and the remaining ogres, which is about 9 and counting. You notice the fox-monk dashing at the goblins, drows and orcs, who seemingly came in to join the fun.

You are one million types of forgeted.

pay attention to several things in updates: they can help you shift everything!

Follow Borin, he looks like he knows what he's doing.

You're about to go after Borin when you see him spiraling back because an ogre hit him. This is quickly plummeting from bad to worse.

You could either find the book and teleport the Eternia Crystal somewhere safer, or you could one-man army the horde and die.

Get everyone the forget out.

One man army the horde and die because if you teleport it probably will just get even worse, somehow.

Retreat and put up towers, and camp on top ofthe crystal.

ARGH YOU CAN'T DECIDE. You stagger to the crystal and sit down. You decide to consult your familiar about the issue.

"What the hell should I do?! There's ogres everywhere, and probably that lost-forever spellbook. Should I reinforce my defense?"
Your familiar uses gesture language to tell you "defenses are useless at this point".
"Should I then try to kill them myself?"
"No, you'll die and doom everything."
And then suddenly he points at the ground. You look there and notice the exact book you were pondering! You feel handicapped for a second. You pick it up, open it and...

You understood exactly zero things from what you've just said. The Eternia Crystal is nowhere to be found. You suppose the whole castle was under siege for them and this happened in every room with an Eternia Crystal, because the castle quakes from the loud screams of monster enraging. Borin is standing right beside you with a shocked expression on his face.

The Eternia Crystal is now in a safe somewhere, but now you have a bigger problem: every single goblin/drow/orc/ogre/whatever wants you dead. There's a small door near you that leads to the stairs.

What do you do that doesn't backfire disastrously on you?

PLOT PLOT PLOT with a sprinkle of foreshadowing

Go though small door and ascend stairs!

You use the door and clannad your way up the stairs, looking below to see how far is the horde from you when you blindly bump into someone. You see a tall young woman with black hair in a high ponytail. She has a spiked leather outfit, a standard issue bow and a seemingly empty quiver. She seems to be scared of you.

And you just now rudely rammed her while taking the stairs. Genius.

no, don't get any ideas from that. what the forget is wrong with you

Fail to find words then end up talking about that strange green stuff you ate a few night ago

love her ask her to help you kill those ogres

"Well, I... um..." you mumble, "We ran into... a monster problem back there."
"There's Self Delete bombers everywhere!" she says in a panicking tone, "And wyverns! And more of the dark elves: mages and berserkers! I--"
"How about we see if the top of the castle isn't overrun too" Borin states plainly, "there might be someone else too who can help. Anyway, name's Borin Major. You?"
"Quill Arrosmith," the woman says. They both look at you.
"Vardet Vantas," you say.

The monster noises get louder from below. You decide to just clannad up the stairs to the top.

After about half an hour of climbing, you open the door and see a large platform with an ancient rune engraved onto it. There's a templar standing there, prepping his hand against the ground. He looks weakened from several attacks. He looks at you, but you can't see the expression on his face.

What do you do?

the punchline is ponies

Heal him and then pin him to wall and quickly interrogate

Or the other way around, whichever works for you

You try to approach the templar, but realize the floor is literally floored with corpses.

"Don't even try," the templar breathes heavily, "you will not outlast the horde. Even I am horribly shaken up from the last wave."
"Speaking of hordes," Borin says, "we ran into a horde problem back there. I don't know how can we escape."
"I think I do. The only escape is down!" you state dramatically.
"But-- the castle is so high!" Quill says nervously.
"I don't care! The stairs are clogged! In fact, there's nothing outside from THIS side!" you point to the south.
The templar and Borin seem eager to escape the castle, but Quill is nervous.
"I can't bring myself to jump down!"
"Let me help you" you say and jump Quill off the castle tower, with Borin and Templar following you.

You are now plummeting to your escape of doom. What do you do just so nobody turns into a pancake?
