Author Topic: which perspective do you prefer?  (Read 1900 times)

Shooters = First
Anything else = Third

Third person for everything, though I prefer being able to switch perspective in-game since I find first person easier but it makes me nauseous after a while.

Depends on the genre. Horror I'd prefer first person, as it sets up a nice atmosphere, same for certain types of shooters. Most RPGs I'd prefer as third person.

able to switch

that way i can go to 3rd person and look around the corner without revealing myself >:D

first person in anything that has combat, for other games like racing games i prefer 3rd.

both

haha, I do this all the time on blockland

depends on the game.

deadspace would work as an fps, but it wouldnt work well. same for gears and ect

First person for pretty much everything.
Allows for better immersion and is generally the better perspective.

I do like switching from between, but it usually depends on what the game is. Like Minecraft for example, I find it difficult to be in the the 3rd person. Blockland, I switch between when the situation calls for it. Some games, like Spiral Knights, are good for 3rd person. It's just depends all on the game.

Shooters/Some Sandbox games - First Person
Sandboxes like GTA - Third Person
Strategy and games like Spiral Knights - Birds Eye View

Depends on the game, now lets talk about FOV: I like it 100+
