Author Topic: 8th grade teacher on her deathbed.  (Read 816 times)

So last year when I was in 8th grade I was in a really small school consisting of only 50 kids. The 8th grade had 4 kids and the 7th had 6. We had a combined 7th and 8th grade. We had this new teacher who was only there for half the year before she left because she was diagnosed with cancer. This was roughly 6 months ago. The cancer continued to sprend, entering her lungs. She did the chemo and such. About 2 months ago her condition worsen, so she left to New York to be with her brothers. Yesterday I was told that she had a stroke and can no longer speak but she knows people are there. Her brothers said that she wouldn't recover and the doctors said this is probably the end. My mom asked me if there was anything I wanted to say to her but I'm frozen up. I don't know what to say. It's like, 6 months ago she was healthy and all now she is on her deathbed. I don't know it just bothers me that I don't say something but I just can't.

Go in there and say she was a great teacher and you learned a lot from her. That's all she'll want to hear.
