Author Topic: I play too much Minecraft  (Read 3440 times)

So I was heading downstairs to brush my teeth, and I freak out because it is dark.  I turn on some lights, and I slowly make my way to the hallway, being cautious of anything that might "spawn" in my house.

I PLAY TOO MUCH MINECRAFT.

True story.

No, you are simply paranoid. You have a fear of the dark, or rather, fear of the unknown. You don't know what lies beyond, so you fear what might. You also know that there is nothing, but your brain tells you that something "spawning" inside the dark is possible, even though it's not.
Most people have this fear, your experience with video-games just augments it into something sharper, and more intense.

Squint in training.

I turn on all the lights in my house because if I don't, i'll start seeing weird images of the exorcist chick peeking from corners

I have this sort of paranoia as well, it's terrifying to go out at night.

What, fearing what's unknown?
Yeah, that's why it's so common, however, in a very safe and docile location like the inside of your house, the fear becomes irrational, because the odds of a mugger waiting behind your bathroom door is very low.
