Author Topic: Cheaper Version of Windows 7  (Read 2703 times)

Ok, so I found this website with a GREAT price for Windows 7 Ultimate, which is only $90 + maybe tax, but I mean its better then paying < $200 from the retail price, even the famous quote "Retail price is a sucker price."
But I want your guys opinion and info, because it says that they don't deliver the box with the disc but instead a downloadable version which you are able to burn onto a disc, but my biggest question...

(I also would like an explanation what EXACTLY is OEM mean and how does it differ from retail.)

Will I get a key to activate Window 7 (I have a Windows XP and just want to make sure this is the right product im buying.)

And should I buy this instead of the one on the Windows site? (Again, are the two things diffrent.)

Here is the site with the product http://apps-shop.net/product/windows-7-ultimate-32-bit/

Totally not a scam or anything....

OEM is for devs only, as in, those who are building their own machine to test it. I'm not sure about the legality if you're not building a machine, but you can only install it once.

am i reading this right

adobe suite from $999 to $99

no that was just photoshop, it's actually from $2599 to $99, what the tits

how the mother loving forget do you make a profit from that?

OEM means it's one use, and is only for system builders/manufacturers. Retail has 3 uses and is less strict on where it is sold.
Although I still use OEM for most of my builds, it doesn't really matter TBH.

Do you really need Ultimate? I don't think you're an IT professional.

Think for a second. Is anyone really gonna buy it from a legit retail for $2.6k? People can easily pirate it or buy it cheaper, im not sure though whatever floats their boat.
