Author Topic: ▲▲PHO▲▲ Soup of the Gods! "Pronounced: Fuh"  (Read 3603 times)

I went to Pho Q Restaurant yesterday and they served it with mushrooms and spinach
Did you like it?

If the mushrooms and spinach ruined it for you, ask them to remove it and they will.

Pho is made broth first, so they will gladly do it for you.

Sorry to make you mad but it is pronounced Fo, fyi. Friend is Vietnamese.
He's wrong.

His heritage doesn't guarantee he knows how to pronounce everything. George Bush is American but he can't pronounce nuclear.

What makes it taste so good exactly? Spices?
I want to try it.

It's the fact that the broth is made with beef knuckle bones which makes the marrow disperse into the broth.

Some people add MSG, but IMO it ruins it.

There are also a lot of different spices put into the broth, but it depends on the restaurant.

I personally add a spoonful of Sriracha sauce and eat my noodles by gathering them into a spoon.

Yeah the restaurant name is a pun.

I tried a Trader's Joe version of this. Tasted bad, but the beef was nice. I might've added too much water. I wish I knew what the real version tasted so I could compare. :(

The best pho is cooked for 8+ hours.

Go to a restaurant, it's not even worth your time trying to learn to cook it well if you have no clue how delicious it is.

this is really off-topic, but e621 is the e-number for monosodium glutamate

Yeah except the majority of the people on this forum have no idea what that is and thus wouldn't get what you're saying
