In one of my recent endeavours with fireworks I conjured a simple little character, here:

and as I do with everything I made a wallpaper:

thanks to fireworks being amazing I can easily modify it to match whatever resolution you want.

I mean for Maya I would understand but something like that?
just get Inkscape
it's open-source and possibly better
