I loved the film, but Drive was definitely better. But I'm happy it won.
Every time I see someone complain about the entire black and white-silent film thing, I want to find them and brutally murder them. Stop having the mind of a child

it wasnt even that good

Being artsy doesn't make it good. I'm not saying it was bad, that's just something I'd like to throw out there.

You're right! Being artsy doesn't make it good! But clearly it was good and artsy!
I understand that when you have no attention span it's hard to watch things without sound, but that doesn't mean you have to be so close-minded

Yes but the problem lies within people praise it for being artsy and not good.

I don't think I've heard a single person say, "I liked the Artist because there was no sound."

Did War Horse even win anything?

I was surprised when it didn't win best original score. Hugo's score was good, but it wasn't spectacular or anything.

"I like the artist because it's progressive and portrays itself with finesse"

It irritates me that anyone thought that would win anything

You see, now you aren't against the movie, you are against the people who enjoyed the movie

dont try and defend the artist with its plot because its plot sucked

I am against anyone who likes anything, even if I like it too, for the wrong reason. These people enjoyed the movie like I enjoy a painting, not as a movie. If someone likes battlefield 3 because it has pretty lighting and nothing else, I'm just as much against them.

The timeless tale of someone who refused to change?

So you think these people did not laugh or cry during the movie?

Yes, I think these are people who want to be hip.

It irritates me that anyone thought that would win anything

It irritates me that you find it to be extremely unworthy of winning any award of the sort. I find that to be outright rude and close-minded.

I didn't bash Drive when you were disappointed that it didn't get nominated for anything, so why are you bashing a movie that I found to be one of the best of this year?

You're even being over-defensive about the fact that people didn't enjoy The Artist. Sure, I did enjoy it. I found the movie to be very period and enjoyable, while others might not. You need to respect others opinions.

I believed that War Horse was worthy of winning at least one award, especially in the categories of cinematography and original score, because I found both to be very good.
