Author Topic: YouTube Video Speed Option - Why not Firefox YET?  (Read 2508 times)

I was messing with HTML5, and decided to install WebM on Internet Explorer just in case so I wouldn't have to install it if I actually needed. When I went to test it, I noticed text saying "Normal" in the player. Clicking it, I found speed options. Suddenly, I remembered: YouTube has video speed options for some videos! Wait a moment... But I've NEVER seen them on my Firefox. Researching, I realized just how long ago this came in - Back around July apparently. Now why the forget do I not get this on Firefox?

Does anyone know why this isn't implemented on Firefox? Or if it is, what I'm missing to use it? Of all the useless features, the most fun of them is excluded from people like me. Also, somebody keep count of all the "Use Chrome" and the like posts that will be coming after this OP.

Lol firefox.  Inb4Chromeandyoutubeareownedb ygoogle

This won't work for me on Firefox either.

it might be a browser specific thing where it show the HTML5 player for IE and the flash one for everyone else

though i sometimes get the HTML5 player on chrome

They were both HTML5 player. I right clicked them, got the HTML menu instead.

Google spies on you in their search engine, Google Chrome only exists to record more than your search history.

Time to get Chrome, bitches B)

It's because its a marketing ordeal where google takes out specific options on youtube when you're not on google chrome.

because then if you do, you're not paying google money to keep youtube up n stuff and you're giving mozilla money to update an old and woredown piece of software

Good thing I use Waterfox.

This does not work for me on Chrome.

Maybe the video API for Fx doesn't support this option yet?

Did you try clearing your cache/cookies?

I don't really see why it matters, it's a pointless option anyway.

Because firefox is inferior to chrome.
