Author Topic: Game crashes when I attempt to load bricks  (Read 2054 times)

I haven't played in a few months and I got on today to revisit the last build I was working on when I last played. I can create a game, but when I load the bricks, I get a "Blockland.exe encountered a problem and needs to close" error a few seconds into ghosting.

I tried several different maps, and it's the same every time.

Game also crashes like this whenever I place a block.

An untraced one is usually nice too.

Post your console with trace.

I don't know what that means, please elucidate.

I suppose this is it?

Sorry. Follow this tutorial: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=185075.0

As pecon said, you can post a normal one.

As pecon said, you can post a normal one.

1. When I right click launcher and click properties, the path is read-only, I cannot edit it and add -trace.

2. When I go in-game and type Trace(1) in the console, it says Syntax Error and nothing else.

You're loading a save that includes several bricks you do not have enabled.

Some to note:

1x2 Ridged
25° Ramp 8x
1x2Log
2x4x3 Windscreen
4h Panel 4x
45° Ramp 3x
45° Ramp 8x
-45° Ramp 8x
-25° Ramp 8x

You need a ; after trace.

trace(1);

That causes all the bricks to load except the ones you don't have.

You have 500 Megabytes of memory.

You have 500 Megabytes of memory.

You definetely need more memory.

Memory is not the issue. The game will not crash due to lack of memory, just run very slowly.
