About Marble Hornets
Marble Hornets DVD Trailer
MH gains its name from Alex's film project, Marble Hornets. The early entries in the series are clips from the filming tapes used in creating the Marble Hornets film. Alex ended the project due to seeing Slenderman (known in MH as The Operator) frequently, and handed the tapes over to his friend and MH narrator Jay. Alex told Jay to burn the tapes, but, being a good friend, Jay did not and instead posted them on Youtube. Alex disappeared afterwards.
Early entries consisted of tapes from the Marble Hornets film and of those taken by Alex who obsessively recorded himself in order to capture Slenderman stalking him. Eventually, the entries turn to videos taken by Jay, catalouging his efforts to discover Alex's whereabouts and unravel the mystery surrounding The Operator.

Over time, Jay follows leads to old buildings, former homes, etc, but generally finds little to nothing. He begins to encounter two figures- Masky, the video series' Proxy, and The Operator itself, who seemingly work together to antagonize Jay and separate him from Alex. Jay continues into the mystery willingly placing himself in danger to find the problem.

Some videos recieve cryptic responses from a separate Youtube channel called totheark, which makes threats, predictions, and statements concerning the ongoings of the entries as they progress.

I caught up to Marble Hornets a day after entry 52 came out. Now I've been checking up on it every week.

Yeah there's been some off-season Twitter messages. I feel like we are getting very close to Season 3. That, and because the director's blog said soon after the second DVD release Season 3 would begin.

For me, Marble Hornets is ok. But TribeTwelve is for me where its all it.

Lots of new Twitter messages today. I feel like we are getting closer to Season 3.

#54 loving got me when the lights went off and he went looking around for the breaker. I just loving knew slenderman would appear at some point, I just didn't know when.

And the end.OH GOD THOSE LEGS. Also, I love how awkward Jay is with Tim, and how uninterested he is by Jay.

I couldn't even make it past 1 minute on Entry 2, but I really wanna watch. Does stuff jump out randomly sometimes during some of these videos, or is it very subtle and just kind of creepy?

Mostly just subtle and creepy. You'll usually see him in the background when you don't expect it, and it's unnerving. No jump scares, it kind of builds up the suspense and surprises you. Entry #1 is a perfect example.
