Author Topic: How does a trigger mechanism work?  (Read 1884 times)

If this isn't the proper name for this, what is it called? I'm looking for plans on how to make a trigger pull back a hammer.

and depends on how far away the trigger is from the safety and the hammer. i think.

These operate either based on spring-load or CO2 to propel the pellet, as compared to a real gun where a hammer strikes the bullet which causes the round to fire off and out into the chamber while the casing is ejected.  As seen in...

oh yes forgot about the whole hammer part it seems hmm

mechanism in spring-loaded airsoft pistols is still relatively similar

Except it's not semi-automatic like a real gun, though.  That's why I hate playing using spring-loaded airsoft guns, they're so lame and annoying.  CO2 is cooler <3

If you can win a skirmish with a spring action, then you have skillz.
