Author Topic: Internet Bandwith Caps  (Read 1169 times)

Close one. Any of you struggle with bandwith caps? Damn free month of Netflix watched 3 seasons of jersey shore and 4 seasons of law and order SVU and 5 movies and watched a lot of streams. I had to do like nothing for 3 days to make sure I didn't go over.

Time to guess what the other 5 gigs could of been used for!

Dude I have a 100GB cap

loving hate australia, used to be 10GB cap

How/where do I check my cap?

Also what is bandwith?

What's a bandwidth?  Lol just kidding.  I don't have a cap on my broadband internet provided by charter.  Only data cap I have is 2gb a month on my iPhone 4 on Verizon which isn't bad cause I don't use 2gb in one month even watching youtube once in a while.  And I listen to internet radio almost daily via 3g connection.

Charter has caps too I had it at my old house. It is dependent on the plan you can have as small as 100gb a month cap. If you just play games you don't have to worry as games only transfer text not visuals and use like at most 1 gig a month even if you play all day. But if you stream or broadcast content all day like I do it adds up real fast, you can use up to 2-3 gigs an hour.

200gb cap for me. What internet speed are you paying for?

25 download about 5 upload I don't know what it costs as I pay $150 for TV phone and internet all in one.

My friend has a 5GB/month cap.

I have a 30GB/month cap.

Where I live, this is the "Best-of-the-best".

Guess where I live.

Oh I am pretty sure the package we have doesn't have a cap due to the fact we have 25 mbps package with 2 hd DVR boxes and 2 regular boxes.  Along with their phone service.

Where I am, no wireless company can get a signal to, so I have to tether with a 3G phone. I grandfather'd over the unlimited data plan, but they throttle the hell out of me. I can only get about 16 GB per month out of it.

At one time my ISP had a 5GB/month quota. Luckily they never enforced it.

I don't have a cap, but it's slow and unreliable.

Comcast you get a warning the first time and banned from their services for a year the 2nd time. They are the only internet option I have so if I get banned I will have to get some stuffty cellphone type internet.
