I don't think the US gv't is capable of aircraft that can loving move halfway across the sky in a half of a second with traction.
An aircraft flying at 681 mph at 1,000ft high can cover 90 degrees in 2 seconds.
An aircraft flying at 681 mph at 1,000ft high can cover 150 degrees in 7.4 seconds.
An aircraft flying at 681 mph at 1,000ft high can cover 160 degrees in 11.3 seconds.
An aircraft flying at 681 mph at 1,000ft high can cover 170 degrees in 22.8 seconds.
An aircraft flying at 681 mph at 1,000ft high can cover 175 degrees in 45.8 seconds.
See the pattern? Half the sky is really a flawed definition. You don't even know what you're talking about, traction has nothing to do with flight.
Some made-up formula:
time = (2(h/tan(90-c/2))) / speed
