Author Topic: Steambox BREAKING! Steambox likely destroyed by the massive girth of Gabe's body  (Read 6737 times)

When you have friends over might as well pop that out, they may add multiplayer additions for games exclusive to the console, it's simpler as opposed of your friend bringing their laptops or hooking up an older computer to play on LAN or online.

I still want a valve console.

This is pointless if the OS is Windows. If it's not, I'm sure that pretty much every non-valve game will be unsupported at the start. Valve will have to port their games.

They are just comming up with all sorts of excuses to delay HL3

I hope this isn't just a get tons of money easy scheme by them by making all their releases after the console exclusively on their console. You know if they come out with a console and then have L4D3 HL3 and TF3 even if its $800 and has nothing useful on it people will buy it just for those games lol.

if steam has a console it will probably just be a baby's first gaming PC with a super simplified OS that will probably just only run steam and play all steam games. I am not expecting anything innovative if they actually do make a console, we'll see though.

Turning it on is probably going to be like launching Steam. That will be the console's dashboard. It's supposed to have hardware that developers can develop games around, so you won't need to upgrade it ever 3-4 years, it will no doubt run Steam games. It seems like it is a more portable PC that you can connect to your TV, and simplified PC.

consoles that play pc games is good.
its how it should have bee since the early 90s

AAAHHH BEES NOT THE BEES RAGHGHSGJHSNIBF

more images of the possible controller for this rumored console. they totally switched around the ps3's brown townog position(above instead of below), and used a stocky/fat controller like xbox's.

It'll be rather exciting if these rumors are true.

What do you guys think the price will be? I'm hoping ~300 dollars.

I hope it doesn't cost as much as the PS3 did when it first came out. What was it, like $700?

if its valve it wont cost much

Also, easy splitscreen, controller mods, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if Valve set it up, and built it in a way that later on in the future, you can buy the parts in a package for the Steam Box and upgrade it. I mean, if that's possible. That would really help the sales probably.

You should have to rotate a valve on the front to turn it on.

Oh my god, yes.
