Most of you who have heard of this game, which already looks excellent, know that is being developed by Tiy from Terraria's development team. He is not doing it alone, though.
Some info
Beta testers will be people most active in the community. So if you want to be a beta tester, you want to get active in the Starbound forums. This has been confirmed by Tiy.

In case you don't want to watch the video, basically in the game instead of having just one world, there are unlimited numbers. In fact, you actually have to go to many different worlds to collect loot, as one world will never be enough. The game features a globe-like feature, meaning you can go around the world and come back to the same place. The player makes his or her way between planet to planet with a space station, which is navigated with coordinates. Coordinates will always be the same, meaning you can share them with friends and explore the exact same land. The game features full co-op and/or multiplayer, and single player. Release date is for Summer of this year. Discuss?
