You seem to not know what it is
But it wont work if your hard drive is friendty full

I was concerned he was serious.
Considering his previous behavior.
Looking at his previous behavior it should have been hard NOT to take him seriously.

defragging does not open up space...
it dosnt even "clean" it.

defrag sorts all the fragged files so gives you a faster access to them
but wont change their size

I tried that but it doesn't seem to do anything, I'll just dig around my c drive and see if there is anything I don't want.

You have to do it 4-5 times for it to really work. Just the way it is. Also, it works best if you're in safe mode.

Brief information on Defragging:

It's related to the performance of data harddrive read/write speeds... Opening files and such.

Defragmentation is useless for two of my Harddrives which are SSDS due to the way they work.

If I remember correctly for the defragmenter in Windows. Red is fragmented files and should give you an idea as to when you should defragment.

Knowledge from personal experience.
