Takes so much time to join server

Does anyone know, why it takes so much time to join someone`s server? About 10-15 minutes.
My internet spped is 15Mb/sec

If you're including the time it takes to download the files as part of the loading... don't.

Downloading only happens once for each file. You don't have to download them every time.

Let's say you joined McBob's Fort Wars and downloaded add-ons/weapon_gluegun/gluegun.dts

When you join SargMan's TDM, which also has the gluegun, you will not have to download it again.

You can disable downloading music, textures, and sounds.
I say disable sounds, and music, textures you would need just in case, music is pretty optional and not a whole lot of people use it, unless it's a music genre server, same goes for sounds. That should cut loading in half.
If you have free time to spare, join the biggest file hoarding server. When I host, and people say it takes forever, I tell them that once they load my server, every other server out there will load fast, seeing that I had like every mod that every other server had.

 That or download mods, even if you don't use them on your server, they cut loading down. Weapons, vehicles, and maps, are the biggest files to load.

I find sounds pretty important for combat purposes. Textures make everything look the way they should.


My suggestion is to join servers and let everything download while you go do something else, that way when you want to play Blockland, you wont have to deal with most of the downloads.

The more you will play Blockland, the less you will have to download.
