You started with saying that this topic was unnecessary, practically bashing down on his topic. If you didn't notice, he got a "lol" in the OP, which pretty much implies that the topic is not serious. So once again you're acting like a hypocrite, saying that "you can't make jokes on the forums anymore" (implying that I'm too serious) right after you've bashed down on his, so called joke, topic. So who is the mr serious really?
Just as your post with the brick can be seen as a joke, it can also be seen as a sort of harassment to the topic creator.
