Author Topic: The Pledge of Alliegence  (Read 1113 times)

Why did I need to pledge my soul to a piece of fabric for ten years? I don't understand.

America.

Cuz, 'MERICKUH, forget YEAH

You don't actually have to do it, it's just people think you do.

It reminds us of our values.

All of you generation x'ers suck

if it's a pledge
why do we say it every day?

dumb fabric.

It reminds us of our values.

All of you generation x'ers suck
I'm so edgy

i agree with op. cops don't have to pledge to their pd everyday.

The flag is just a symbol of our independence and freedom. Also you're not required to pledge to it. Most athiests don't.

how are they any diffrent?

It's just hard to believe in old american values when blacks didn't have basic freedom until around Lincoln's time, women couldn't vote until 1919, the native-Americans were driven off their own land, the Japanese were forced into camps during WWII, and gays still mostly don't have the right to marriage. So much for freedom.

^ Religious freedom is all you get, and you'd still get criticized anyway, no freedom.
They change the pledge every x years so x years from now what you are saying currently is wrong!

You better build your self a flame proof castle, because there is going to be a lot of fire.
