I think he meant described his death, in the book they just said he was probably killed while fighting the district two kid at the end of the book, he wasn't killed by dogs.

it's been a while since I read the book but I think it was pretty clear how he died.
You didn't see him get killed by dogs in the movie. It could have been a ninja.
