Opinions on how to deal with lying friends

pretty much all you can do is

Stop associating with them for a while.

if they don't show any signs of interest in you after you avoid them for x amount of time, then they probably just pitied/manipulated/abused you or some stuff and weren't really your friends

Whats funnier is when they try to justify the lying with stupid reasons.

yesterday after school all the band peoples went on a trip so me and my friend sat together and he tried to tell everyone that some kid stole "his" PSP and would not give it back just because he didn't let him play it


and here's a gold medal one

some kid had his phone in his lap and it looked just like my friends phone i was like
me:"hey looks it's your phone"
him:"nope i got a new one"
me:"ok so what type is it"
him:"why should i tell you"
me:"because i know you're lying and you should drop the act"
him:"i am not"
me:"ok what type of phone is it"
