Yeah he should wait until he moves out to say something, especially if he goes to college and his parents are going to be paying the fees. I have some gay/lesbian friends and that's exactly what they did.

I don't have much advice, my mom took it really well. I just waited for a time when things were really relaxed and we were both in good moods. I sat down with her on the couch and I just told her straight out that I was also attracted to men. I explained to her how it was an ongoing thing since childhood and how nothing was going to change. She accepted it and we hugged and watched a movie.
