Part 3: Parents
Potentially this is the part where you all will start to disagree with me, but here we go. You know why kids can act like that now? Their parents enable them to do that. Not all parents do this, but many are guilty of this.
Kids act disgraceful now. I feel ashamed to be a part of this generation, I really do. Here's something I'm sure a lot of you can relate to. You probably know that feel when you're playing a game, and a twelve year old kid (sometimes younger) will get on the mic and curse you out, and assume that your mother is a cheap prostitute. Where are their mothers or fathers when they do this?
I had an interesting conversation with a kid who was recording a commentary on Modern Warfare 3 over Xbox Live. He decided to leave his mic on, and I advised him to turn it off. I said, and I quote, "Bro, could you please turn off your mic if you're doing a commentary? It's not going to record anything, you should use a computer microphone." He goes on a rant that lasts the rest of the match, calling my mother a "whore" and calling me a "little bitch" and claiming he would "shank"me if he ever saw me, in his twelve year old voice. I asked him if he was accepted by an Ivy League school to get an engineering degree. I informed him that if his intelligence was not as recognized as mine by schools (and I know you guys think I'm a moron), that he had no right to criticize me and think he was superior. He got his mother on the mic to yell at me. Here's the conversation we had:
"Helloo? Who is this?" -kid's mom
"Hi, this is Bill. How can I help you, madam?" -me
"Well, I was listening to my son's conversation with you, and I wanted to tell you that you're a loving moron and I hope that you die" -her
"Why is that? I don't believe that I said anything wrong. I gave him advice on how to do his video, and I asked him to stop insulting me and my mother." -me
"You're not the parent here. You're not a parent, and I am gonna raise my child how I loving want to" -her
"I'm sorry, I was just giving him some advice and politely asking him to stop insulting me." -me
"WELL, IF I EVER SEE YA, IMMA SHANK YOU" -her
"I would like you to stop threatening me please, miss." -me
"I DON'T loving BELIEVE YOU GOT ACCEPTED TO AN IVY LEAGUE SCHOOL, YOU'RE loving STUPID, YOU LITTLE BITCH" -her
I pause for a second
"Well, may I ask you if you got accepted to a nice college?" -me
"I DIDN'T NEED NO COLLEGE TO MAKE ME SMART" -her
I turned off my XBOX in disbelief. These people should not be allowed to have children. They enable them to act immature, and they aren't much better than that themselves. I could go on for much longer, but I'm done for now.
