V8 brick ladders or evented ladders

Jirue I was able to exploit all your ladders in that Dam deathmatch.

Those ladders didn't work in the way I just described.  They all used addVelocity, so they were easily exploitable.

Similar to the image below, but with checks for <var:pl:firing>, and smaller adds if the player isn't firing. Could also use <var:pl:jetting> I believe.. In case you're using it in a shooting minigame that requires the firing key for weapons.

That's what I do, but onactivate instead. Makes more sense that you can't use your weapon on the ladder. What person do you know that can climb a ladder backwards?

I usually just have an onplayertouch>addvelocity>some small number
and I do that for every rung. So it's nice and controlled.

Dread had this fancy one where it would use the variable replacer for the zpitch(I think) so that when you looked up you went up and when you looked down you'd go down. Assuming your on the ladder of course.

just in case you guys wanted to know, when soba released his dump for all of his brick stuff, there was a brick ladder in it.
small 1x3 thing that worked pretty well.

v8 ladders stopped working for me. idk how or why, but it wouldn't let me stay on the ladder anymore which meant i could not go up. i prefer v8 ladders though if they could work for me again.

I used to make ladders whit all the bars clickable so you go a bit up everytime you click a bar.

YES THEY DO! I've been using them all day in my server. It has to be 2x bricks high with a 1f in between.
