Alright, so I was in a meeting / brainstorm session with a few of the other interns and producers, and their one rule is no phone calls unless it's an emergency. They don't care of you're texting, playing with you phone, playing games online. All so long as you're paying attention. My dad is totally aware of this rule, and he called me a few times, I said I'm in a meeting I'll call you in like 15 minutes. He kept on calling me, so finally I excused myself an said that I think something might be wrong. Well, I go into my booth, call my dad and ask him what's up, this is how the conversation went;
Me: hey, what's up? I'm in a meeting right now is this an emergency?
Dad: eh, not really I just wanted to tell you a joke before I forgot.
Me: well, you could have texted it to me..
Dad: yea but I knew you'd crack up in your meeting and didn't want you to get in trouble.
Me: alright, well then go for it, what's the joke?
Dad: okay, well, you know how everyone wants to be irish on st Patrick's day?
Me: sure
Dad: how come nobody wants to be a monday on Martin Luther king day?
After laughing for a minute, I went back into my meeting and ha to explain in front of everyone that my dad spam called me to tell me a joke. Right after the meeting my boss pulled me to his office an said that if that ever happens again I'm losing my internship. D:
