Yesterday, during 4th period. We had a short schedule so my weight training class was only 30 minutes. Add the buffer at the start and end for changing, and that's 10 minutes of lifting time. My laptop sat in my backpack in the locker room for 10 minutes. In that time, it was gone.
I've so tired today because I spent yesterday and today talking to the security dude at our school, filing a police report, and today I got a tip from this guy who didn't tell me where he got the info, but he says the guy who took it left it in this covered parking area outside an insurance office downtown because it was password protected and the idiot who took it couldn't get through my password (thus he didn't want it, left it behind). So I left school during my off-period to look there, and of course there was nothing.
Yep, Macbook pro 15'', 1600 bucks, gone. There's still a chance we can get it. See, my mom called around some parents in my weight training class (I didn't want her to, but she did) and this one kid who has a history of stealing/pawning stuff: his mom called us back and said she thinks it's him and everything. Now the security guy at my school is convinced it's him too, but see: he wasn't at school until like...4-6th period today. Interesting.
Eh, for an uber challenge, if anyone wants to see if they can track where it is they should give it a shot. I doubt anyone could figure anything out, since I had no tracking software. I just have the serial number and my school has my MAC address logged just in case.
Discuss :( i'm so tired from running around everywhere and explaining everything and blah...I just feel like crap, that laptop was my life. And now it's gone. I'm typing this on my family's imac that I have limited access to.
