Author Topic: Laptop stolen. *It has been returned.*  (Read 8453 times)

Hey yeah let's jump on an anti Mac bandwagon when we know nothing about them! Man I feel so cool and included.

You're a forgetin moron, marcem
It's a loving joke.  Calm down.

i don't know about you, I've stolen one thing before, that was someones iPod touch.
As soon as heard a beep I loving threw that stuff and ran.
Then two days later I went back and found it.
So I taped a firecracker to it and lit it up.
That iPod now lies in Apple heaven.

You're a friend.

You're a friend.
Okay then...
Oh, I forgot to mention he's actually one of my close friends now.
I paid him back for it and everything.
I was just scared as stuff at the time.

EDIT:
you spelled "cigaretteget" wrong.

No, it just makes you a spaztastic idiot who destroyed someone's property for no goddamn reason. No rational person does that.

Why the hell is my post always on the last page.

I'll just say the most important thing, this works for most people:

Say your giving a reward for you macbook say 600 or 1000 dollars, next if the theif has it he/she would probably turn in the macbook and then say they found it somewhere, then when they say if they get the money yet, bam you got your theif.

Just spread the reward thing around like a rumor.

just the same as you're two people, right?

If those kids aren't very smart and you can get an online signal, go up to them and be like "Hey have you seen my mac, someone took it, if you know anyone who has a mac can you check if the password is YOURPASSWORDHERE, if it is that password can you get it back for me? thanks!"

This way they will log onto it and then you'll know for sure it was one of those kids.

That's actually a really good idea.
However, they will look through your research folder stuff.

What?
So this new account, Fission, who is totally 100% colonial killer and totally not [JazZ] because they are totally two different people, used the email "JazZ_5109@yahoo.com"?  Ok cool.  I believe you about everything now.

Lol Marcem.
Keep my drama in its loving topic.
You know?
The one were almost 80 people believed me,
and only 26 decided not to?
forget off kid.

umm you're not seeming too credible right here in this topic but ok.. when a post comes from badspot saying that you've both registered under the same ip or same email address something's obviously up and people who didn't believe him are pretty handicapped.

that aside, trifax hope you get your laptop back :c

I think you not being able to legitimately defend yourself warrants you another drama topic. Anyone who believed you didn't look as closely as a cat would at the evidence. And in any case, you are a friend for what you did with the Ipod touch.

Anyway Trifax, I hope you get your Mac back.

Keep that drama stuff out of this topic. I like discussing the laptop here because it's good to brainstorm ideas on what action I can take.

I've talked to Apple, and the summation of what I've determined is as follows:

If anyone tries to use it, or especially reinstall the OS, it will connect to the internet and email me about it being online, and where it is. To completely wipe it without going online, it takes some deep tech knowledge that I happen to have, but I doubt that these kids have.

Thank you iCloud, you're giving me hope on this.

What if they decide to smash it?
