Author Topic: How to make a good forum avatar using GIMP?  (Read 936 times)

I have been trying to do this lately with. What I want is transparency. What I did was I added alpha channel, used fizzy tool, and cleared it. When I use it, the background is black instead of transparent.

I would really appreciate help.

I prefer Paint.NET.

Send me the PSD file and I'll see what I can do.

(btw, Paint.NET doesn't natively support PSD, but there is an add-on plugin to it that makes it support that)

Paint.net

It'll take you to the wrong website, but there's a link on the sidebar sayin 'olol u silly boy, u on wrong site's and you can click the button and it reroutes you to getpdn

I want to have these as avatars w/ transparency.

So how did you add transparency on the image and how did you resize it?

Just for future reference:

Don't worry about the Bicubic/Super Sampling at the bottom.
