Both are pretty bad. The second one is painful on the eyes and nearly unreadable. The first just looks bad.

Mainly because the red "Brian Smith" is difficult to read, IMO.
I know the rest of it says Brian Smith, but it's not really the point to read the lines. You've highlighted the red part for a reason and I can't make it out too clearly.

Eh, it's still not that much better in large.
The gaps between each row of text splits up the red lettering too much.
Perhaps if the lines were closer together and possibly were smaller, it'd read clearer.

You need glasses then, the red part is nearly unreadable but I can see it perfectly fine.

as a logo it's not good

logos should be pleasing to the eyes and easy to see, that one puts strain on them

also yeah
fix the spacing on the brian smith's vertical placements
they're too far spaced apart and make the eyes struggle to process the coloured words (which you should dim down because they hurt like forget)
