Here's a simple brown townogy

So me and my friends always debate about politics and what ever when in truth we're all like 14 and barely have any idea what we're talking about. But anyways, my friends always blame Obama for the economy and what ever, so I went ahead and said this:

If you're in a row boat with your friends out on a lake and someone takes a nail and hammer and makes a hole, who do you blame MORE, the man who made the hole? or the man who tried to fix it.

They said this brown townogy made no sense, while I think I got my point across. I think the symbolism of each man is obvious. Any thoughts? Agree? Disagree? Long serious in deep page stretch answer? Let me hear it.

the brown townogy makes no sense. if you're in a perfectly fine boat and some starfish puts a hole in it obviously it's his fault. you never even said there was a man trying to fix the hole that was made but at the end you're trying to pin the blame on the guy who's fixing the hole (again, he doesn't exist)

Blame the nature for providing the minerals for the miners to mine it and transport to a factory which the factory melts down those minerals into metals. Those metals get sent to another factory where they are melted down into various shapes, including the nail. Then the nails get shipped to the stores, and the workers put it on the shelves. Then the mans wife buys those nails and then...

you never said anyone was trying to fix the hole in the boat. and then you said someone tried to fix the boat. but there was nobody fixing the boat to begin with.
