There's always jailbreaking.
My parents won't let me do that. They never really explained their reasoning. They just said "no" every time I asked.

It's pretty easy to hide.

I prefer customability. I would rather have a phone that actually does what I want instead of giving me what most people want.
like?

be rebel and do it anyway

The main reason why jailbreaking is not a great idea is because your warranty expires. My phone is jailbroken for the sole reason of unlocking it to be able to use it in Argentina.

Save up for a cheap android phone like a Moto G and show it to them, I'm sure they'll like it.

It's pretty easy to revert back to the original firmware. I had an iPod 2g that had a bad headphone jack, I just restored it and exchanged it, no biggie.

I would love to have an iPhone ;~;

I still have a qwerty keyboard tracfone

You know that's warranty fraud, right?

I hate lying. I couldn't jailbreak my phone and then hide it from my parents.

If they're not going to hold up their end and check for it, that's their fault. Besides, I had Apple Care, so it was even a paid for warranty.

Wowe, dum.

I don't ever buy any warranty. I am often very careful even with older devices.

I didn't buy it silly. It had it when I got it. I would never buy a warranty.

That is most definitely warranty fraud then.

Huh? You've confused me now.

It's the new devices you need to be careful with. I dropped my phone (iP. Orig) on accident form the lab's table (pretty high) screen-first and it survived. On the other hand, my mom dropped her phone (iP. 5C) from a short chair onto the floor screen-first and it broke.
