Should he have been suspended for that picture?

Yes
No

Author Topic: I need your opinion - my friend got suspended  (Read 6662 times)

My friend is an amazing artist, he draws trains and planes and stuff like that.

Well I recently heard that he got suspended for an undetermined amount of time, and police were called into the classroom because he drew planes blowing up the school. I haven't seen the drawing yet so I can't tell if it was a justified suspension or not but I want you opinion. I'll post the picture once he sends it to me.

It's too bad, because he's the nicest guy.

Facts that he would like me to make aware to you, and all other people:
  • There is no form of violence in the picture at all. No bombs, no missiles, just arrows.
  • There has never been a single terrorist attack where stealth bombers were used (which are depicted, obviously)
  • The people who talked to my friends dad about the matter said that a few very scared girls came into the office with it printed out and reported it. My friend says he uploaded it and deleted it 5 minutes later when that inevitable second judgment kicked in (we all know how that goes) so in that time, somebody who clearly doesn't like him, or doesn't have a brain, printed it out and reported it.

The picture:

The picture was given to the administration by some girl on facebook who saw it on his profile and printed it out claiming she was "legitimately scared".

I lol'd pretty hard.

Discuss whether or not he should have been suspended.

i got suspended for drawing guns in class once, the principal was going on about some bull that i "could go to court" for it.

Maybe he should've showed a train running into the school.

Poor guy, seems completely unfair.

0/10 should not have been suspended

He definitely shouldn't have been suspended for that.

I think he does deserve to be suspended for not realizing that public schools are slave factories that train you to lick the stuff off of authority's (teachers, administrators, police, etc)  boots and like it. It's been long known that even innocent behavior like this is what gets you in deep trouble with schools.

ok thats seriously not a real threat

some school kid cant just bring in a plane to blow up the school

I can.

Sucks that the school has to take it very seriously, threat or not, they think that it might happen to the school (which of course it doesn't happen), other schools take threats seriously. I think he deserves it by the fact that threats against the school is not acceptable.

Do they not have real problems to fight?

He said to the principal "I don't have planes at my house"

And that was my question: who expects a teenager to obtain multiple stealth bomber jets to target the school?

apparently the school.

it's a reason if they actually have reason to worry about it

in his case i'd assume there's no reason to worry about it unless your friend is a troublemaker then it'd be a bit different for teachers/principal/whatever

Um obv. the planes just wanted to fly over to the school and give military advice to kids there!??! those are american planes people... not terrorist planes (handicap skools cant teach for C***RAP.)
