Author Topic: Change Console's Colors (Little tutorial)  (Read 1732 times)

I was going to close Blockland, I right clicked on the console tab, and instead of pressing Close, I pressed Properties, because I'm a dunce.
What I found though is that you can edit the background, and the text in Console. It's the same thing if you go into notepad, set the code as Color:a0 and run the notepad save as a batch file, pretty interesting.

How to do this :
Click Properties, and a window will open

From here you can select Background color, Text color, there are more options but that's buffering and etc, stuff I don't you need to change

Have fun customizing your Console!

The reason for this Tutorial is it was an interesting find I made, and the Console does lack any creativity, we usually just blow it back in the background and forget about it, but now you can have a bit of a twist with it, just so it doesn't look like crap.
I'm not sure wether we have a tutorial on this or not, I did search, but for now day reasons, posting this seems fine.
Enjoy!

Edit: Also feel free to post your console to show off your creativity!

Fun fact:
Options > QuickEdit allows you to copy stuff and right-click-to-paste into console.

Also: You only have to click save, and it'll ask you if you want to apply to all windows with this same title, and you can  click yes and not need to save the bat or whatever.

This works on any windows command prompt.

What I want now is a way to change ingame consoles colors.

Lol, this is totally important.

Lol, this is totally important.
It doesn't seem important at all, but it's a neat thing to do to that boring black and white console that just lays in the background like a fatty.

Lol, Blockland is totally important.

I already knew this :P

Hi Dylan
Hi.
Yeah I was checking everything forty times to make sure nothing important was shown. First name is fine. And honestly Dylan, Dillpickle, you can already guess my first name.

Perhaps your full name is Dylan Pickle?

Anyways, when do the popup colors show up?

I'm not sure about Popup colors, I haven't tried it, nor know what it's about, I thought seeing as the background and text was the only part of the console you can visually see change, I didn't bother. Take a twist at it, tell us what you did.

Whoever uses Command Prompt probably knows this.

Still pretty good tutorial.
