Author Topic: Dungeons n' Dragons You cannot revive this now. REMEMBER THIS THREAD!  (Read 70943 times)

The foolhardy paladin takes small steps toward the wrecked door of the evacuated tavern. He then sprints, sword held high, ready to banish whatever lurks in the night.
Tick Tock, Tick Tock.

This was probably a stupid decision, but this calls for swift action.

As the paladin runs boldly in the night, he finds a desecrated corpse of an animal. Upon closer inspection you find that it was a horse, which was unlucky to be the chosen lunch of the beast.
What shall you do?

Remember that you're failure to act wisely might cause innocent blood to be shed.

As the night gets deeper and the trail gets steeper you find a fork in the road, one leading to the city of osh'ln and another to the righteous path. however the woods seem like the most viable path to partake in right now. Shall you strain your eyes (*Cough*Perception check*cough*) to see where the beast might've gone, or shall you partake in another path?

Pick up bard and run fast to catch up with paladin

Pick up bard and run fast to catch up with paladin
You see the Noble, but perhaps foolhardy paladin about to slowly enter the dark woods. however you are within shouting range.
What shall you do?

Look for that bastard.

I roll a 12.

The paladin enters the thick forest, a few branches disorient his path, nevertheless the paladin entered the forest fairly easily. And there you find the creature about to consume his prey. Outclassed you may choose to battle this beast or flee, contradicting all your values.

Beast confrontation music, Beast battle music (I don't know why.)

Rolled a 15 for stealth and 12 for a backstab.

I expected you to headlong charge that beast but, okay.
The beast is extremely pained by this, decimating 5 points in his 30 HP.
What shall you do?

Kick its leg before it can react, I want to cripple this thing and get the victim out of here.

I rolled a 10.
The paladin kicks the beast on it's hind quarters. The beast is completely confused by the turn of events. Due to intense burning pain from the sword stab, the beast is unable to move for a while. This prompts you to pick up the petrified man and run before the beast can stand.
Shall you wait for the beast in the edge of the forest with your companions to engage in direct combat? Or shall you run back to the town and hide with your friends?

Now, GTFO.

11 for getting TFO.

Now, GTFO.

11 for getting TFO.
Your nimble feet allow you to get out of there, although you hear an angry growl and loud wing flapping.
Shall you battle with it with your friends?
(Am I a good DM?)

Yes you are.

I roll a 16 for... ehm...

Lesseeeee.

Some way of impeding the beast's movement.
