The only thing that is possible right now is slowing time not time travel.

IMO Time travel is not possible but that most likely means it will be.

The thing is, as far as we can tell time travel can result in paradoxes which go on forever. I've heard so many examples of it yet I can't remember any of them.

You can slow time for specific people, though. If you get close enough to a major gravity well, such as a black hole (without getting destroyed by it, though) you can make time pass slower for yourself, which also makes you age slower. The specific example I heard was every 2 years for you is 10 years in the "normal" world.

I like time travel stories. I can't remember the name, but what was that story about the lumberjack who went to the forest and found two men playing a game of chess so he sat and watched for what seemed like a decent amount of time, but when the game was over he went back to his village and found out that many years had actually passed?

-Graffiti walls slow time
-MIND BLOWN!

timetravel is impossible because time is the measure of change in an object, so to go back in time you would have to unchange every molecule in existence to the point you wanted to be in. since you're made of molecules you'd change too, so it would be redundant to go back in time. unless there are alternate dimensions where matter took the same form as ours, you could technically enter them at some point, but that would be dumb because you'd go back to your dimension with the broken vase.

Stephen Hawking describes time travel as being a river. You can speed up your journey down it by getting into the rapids, but there is no way to go backwards against the flow.

If I was to go back in time and destroy my time machine, how did I get back in time? Hawking says that there is no good explanation for how that would work, because going back in time is probably impossible, and that the idea of a paradox alone is evidence that reversing time won't work.

It is possible to speed up time using gravity. He says that hypothetically, if it was possible to build a track around the earth and drive in a train that whips around the entire planet in seconds, if you could drive for a certain amount of time you could travel years into the future.

There is a detailed documentary on it. So time travel is "possible" technically. Practical in this day and age? God no lol.

just wait I swear I'll build that track I will build earths citadel station with a solar repulser train

Agreed, but one can speculate.....

I currently travel through time at 1 hour per hour.

It would be impossible to time travel back and change anything that you know of at the time, if you went to a country you had never heard of and shot a duck it would be fine.

If you travel backwards in time, then the technology to travel through time is now gone,
There is no way back.
not if the technology goes with you...
