Lots of my friends went to Momocon this last weekend. All of them were Touhou cosplays, but some of them did other stuff. One of them did a Rin Tezuka from Katawa Shoujo. I'm almost positive you probably saw one of them at least once. I'll probably go to AWA. Probably.

i only go to cons i'm near. there was one in orlando called dragon con that i accidentally snuck into with my dad. sister had a cheerleading competition and we walked through an open door. we walked around and we were like "the forget is all this stuff." we got a sword and some stuff and left. no cosplays there though, at least nothing other than halo and starcraft stuff.
There's also a Dragon*Con in Atlanta, normally near Septemberish. I remember going to it once when I was like in 7th grade. Was really fun.
Same. None nearby, plus I have social anxiety, plus I'd be the youngest there which would panic me even more, plus I have no one to go with except my parents, plus my parents wouldn't want to take me, plus it's be expensive.
I'm somewhat of a shut-in and was afraid of going to conventions. Once I went to my first one, I found that being around people who are like you, minus the really loud and annoying ones, you constantly look forward to them. Cons are expensive, yeah, but they're so fun.
